Ending Hunger in Syracuse
In the land of the free and the home of the brave, in a country known across the world as the nation of prosperity, roughly 42 million people face hunger. How can this be? Unthinkable and yet it is the reality of 1 in 6 Americans on a daily basis. This national dilemma trickles down to every community and Syracuse has not been spared. Hunger is real for many families here in the city of Syracuse and surrounding suburbs. Not only the homeless, but the working poor also face hunger, as they struggle to pay bills and keep food on the table. It’s a real challenge, and that’s why we need your help today.
Join us on any Saturday to help prepare lunch to feed the homeless and hungry. Donations are accepted on to make lunch sacks, such as bread, cold cuts, juices, and healthy snacks. On behalf of the needy, we’d like to express our deepest gratitude to our volunteers for your assistance and those who donate supplies each week to meet the needs of our neighbors without food.
